University of Chicago Professors Martha Nussbaum and Saul Levmore

February 25, 2018 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Aging Thoughtfully: Conversations About Retirement, Romance, Wrinkles & Regret

How can we age well? Join this lively conversation between Martha Nussbaum, the renowned philosopher and ethicist at the University of Chicago, and Saul Levmore, the former dean and a current professor at the university’s law school, as they discuss topics such as retirement, cosmetic procedures, philanthropy, and refashioning social security.

The two friends will sign their new book, Aging Thoughtfully, after the discussion. As noted in a New York Times book review by Dwight Garner, the book is “framed as a conversation and, although these two are friends, it grows heated. You begin to sense that while one is talking, the other is chalking his or her pool cue.”
