Third Thursday, Art Night Out – Artist Margarita Bauer with the James Pedicone Band – September 21st

Barrington's White HouseCommunity Events

Make 3rd Thursdays your art night out! Enjoy an artist reception featuring Margarita Bauer along with music by the James Pedicone Band with complimentary hors d’oeuvres from Wild Asparagus and a cash bar.

Bauer’s rendition of Dyllis Braithwaite’s fashion statement has followed Braithwaite’s clothing exhibition throughout the country.

On September 21, 6:30pm join us for an exhibition by Barrington’s Margarita Bauer. Bauer is a true artist working in almost every medium of pen and ink, watercolor, acrylic, and pastels. In Bauer’s words, “I have been painting and drawing since I was 6 years old. It has always been a part of me and it is truly who I am. When I see a blank canvas it draws me in – I am not intimidated. Instead, I feel challenged by the empty space and what it allows me to create, to put my imagination down on a canvas. I see visions in my head and I try to replicate them. I am inspired by things I see, but I have always been drawn to figures. When I went to school anatomy was my first love and I stuck with it until I perfected it. Being able to draw figure and hands in a realistic form in any position was my challenge and for all my years, that has been my hook. There is no greater feeling than to rise to a challenge and be able to look back and see that you have overcome it. I don’t think there is anything greater for the soul.” Tickets are available for free.

And at 7:30 join us for an acoustical event by The James Pedicone Band whose music is meant for a mature, sophisticated listener. In Pedicure’s words, “We pick our music based on our personal taste. Experience has proven that our audience appreciates our interpretation of these classic songs. Our song list is comprised of music from the 40’s to contemporary, many songs well known but seldom covered by other bands. We all have a deep love and respect of music from Bluegrass, Jazz, Folk, Rock, R&B, and Blues. On any given night you may hear music representative of all those styles, played by musicians that have spent their lives listening, playing, and trying to understand what makes great music “great.”  Tickets are available for $20.00.
