What is Barrington Flower Shop and what services do you provide couples?
GE: Barrington Flower Shop is a floral studio located in the heart of downtown Barrington that I founded in 1988. We provide floral design services for all types of occasions, including weddings. We provide general wedding florals like centerpieces, altar arrangements and aisle decorations and wedding party florals like bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages.
Our goal is to make your vision a reality. Our designers conduct in-depth consultations with all of our couples to ensure you get everything you envision for your special day.
How has your business model had to change during COVID-19?
GE: Our business model has stayed the same, but we have become a little more creative with bridal florals. We know that so many weddings have been cancelled or reduced in size, and we are helping couples celebrate their special day, no matter the size, by expanding our floral offerings. Barrington Flower Shop now sources products from 13 different countries and various vendors to ensure we have the best quality and most variety. We are also getting creative with bouquets and centerpieces to accommodate smaller budgets.
For all of our florals, big and small, we are offering contactless delivery. Whether we are delivering to a residence or venue, safety is our top priority. We like to call it an adult version of Ding-Dong-Ditch. We ring the doorbell, ‘run’ away, and you enjoy!
Lastly, we have revised our cancellation policy. Couples can cancel up to 7 days before the wedding, barring any government restrictions.
