A Panel Discussion: U of Chicago’s Forum for Free Inquiry and Expression

May 17 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

University of Chicago luminaries discuss the university’s commitment to free inquiry and expression and its meaning on the national stage

The fundamental but often complicated concept of free speech has taken center stage in our national dialogue in recent years. The discussions will focus on the University of Chicago’s longstanding commitment to free expression, known as the “Chicago Tradition” along with an overview of this very complicated but fundamental concept, now a “center stage” nationally prominent topic.

Tony Banout, will be interviewed by Jessica Green, from Courageous Conversations, and Dale Griffith, a University of Chicago graduate and former Barrington High School faculty member and most recently faculty at Rochelle Zell Jewish High School.

Coffee and snacks available at 1:00 pm; discussion begins at 1:30 pm

NOTE: This event is entirely in-person. No virtual tickets are available. If you are having trouble registering, please contact us at culturalevents@barringtonswhitehouse.com or 224-512-4066.
