On September 10, 7:00 – 9:00 pm, Barrington’s White House welcomes Soprano Joanne McDade and bass-baritone Vince Wallace joining forces with keyboardist Daniel Corneliussen to present an entertaining program of favorite songs from musicals and films by Rodgers and Hammerstein, George Gershwin, and Bernard Herrmann.
Joanne McDade is a lyric soprano, as well as a pianist and choral conductor. As a performer, she enjoys singing opera and oratorio, and is also an avid recitalist, frequently performing works by contemporary American composers. She earned the Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Oregon and previously earned the Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance from California State University, Sacramento. Ms. McDade has extensive teaching experience with students of all ages in both private and academic settings. She currently resides in Barrington, Illinois, where she maintains a private voice and piano studio.
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Vince Wallace is a versatile performer with broad performing experience ranging from skilled ensemble performances to a variety of solo roles and orchestral settings. Currently based in Chicago, Mr. Wallace has appeared regularly with the Lyric Opera of Chicago since 2008. He has performed with both the Lyric Opera of Chicago and the San Francisco Opera productions of Porgy and Bess. Mr. Wallace was awarded 1st Place in the Utah Festival Opera Concoso Lirico International Opera Competition which led to his being sent to Alessandria, Italy to represent the United States as an international finalist in the Concorso Internazionale di Musica, Cappuccilli – Patané – Respighi in 2013. He holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music and Westminster Choir College.
