Close to 200 guests came to see explore the three floors of Barrington’s White House for its first annual Wedding and Bridal Open House.
Brides, couples, families and friends enjoyed seeing the mansion all dressed up and ready for a party. The mansion is “absolutely gorgeous!” said one couple, who liked seeing the reception and wedding ceremony set-ups so they could visualize what it will be like for their wedding.
Guests were greeted with a glass of champagne in the mansion’s grand entry—with its tall ceiling, open staircase and restored Waterford chandelier.
The scent of delicious hors d’ouevres wafted through the air. Fragrant flowers adorned the tables and the steps and windowsills of the wide oak staircase.
On the third floor, chairs were lined up before a gorgeous ceremony backdrop of cascading vines and flowers. And tablescapes showed off the latest trends in linens and china.
Barrington’s White House was pleased to host with so many of its vendor partners—including caterers, florists, hair and make-up artists and photographers. Guests could view their artistry, as well as displays of the latest in jewelry, table linens and glassware. All while sipping champagne and enjoying delectable savories and sweets.
But most of all, guests marveled at the mansion itself. Its grand entry. The gorgeous quarter-sawn white oak woodwork, including wainscoting, pocket doors and the main winding staircase, with its graceful landing and artisan-designed leaded glass—the perfect spot for stunning photos of the bride in her dress.
Dramatic 16-foot arched ceilings greeted attendees making their way up to the third-floor ballroom—an elegant space for ceremonies, receptions and rehearsal dinners.
Guest also enjoyed the private second floor Bridal Suite, with a multi-stationed make-up and hair counter and three luxurious bathrooms. And the stately Groom’s Room on the main floor.
It was a day to remember. And we hope brides will return to share their special day at Barrington’s White House. Watch our video with Hospitality Manager Jennifer Salvatore:
