The First Cultural Event at Barrington’s White House Presents Dyllis Braithwaite
The first cultural event at Barrington’s White House is this evening, Thursday, July 9, from 7-9 pm.
Dyllis Braithwaite, a newly published author and long time resident of Barrington, will be hosting the first book signing at Barrington’s White House. Her books “Oh! I Love What You’re Wearing!” (Volumes I and II) feature her unique fashions, all modeled by Dyllis, at different locations throughout Barrington. The photographers for this coffee table style book are Maxine Cress, Bob Lee and Susan McConnell.
Dyllis possesses a legendary gift for selecting beautiful fabrics, creating wearable art and inspiring others to find their own creative voices, for which she is well known in the Chicago area and throughout the country.
After a reception on the front porch, where Dyllis’s famous home made punch and cookies will be served, Dyllis will be speaking while exhibiting her creations on the first floor of Barrington’s White House. Her books will be available and she will be signing each one individually.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, July 9, 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
