3rd Thursday Art Night Out: Frankie & Jay Johnson “Married to Art”

Celebrate Frankie & Jay Johnson, husband and wife duo, sharing their inspiring journeys, creativity, & impact.
Join us for a special 3rd Thursday Art Night Out featuring the talented husband-and-wife duo, Frankie and Jay Johnson, whose contributions have profoundly shaped the local art community.
Frankie and Jay have been married nearly 50 years and centered their lives together around art with exhibitions, competitions, teaching and sharing. Their paintings reflect their travels around the world when they are not at the Mainstreet Art Center, in Lake Zurich, teaching classes, running workshops and manning the gallery. Their landscape paintings express the beauty of the places they have seen and visited. Frankie’s paints figurative pieces depicting models, friends or random figures in public who captured her attention in some way. Their work captures the beautiful light and interplay of the shapes in the composition. They critique each other’s work and support and encourage each other along the way. They enjoy visiting galleries, various art exhibits, competing in plein air events and painting with friends.
This event is part of Barrington’s White House’s continuing 3rd Thursdays Art Night Out series. Each monthly event features a local artist exhibition with live music, complimentary appetizers, and a cash bar. It’s a great night out with friends!
