3rd Thursdays Art Night Out: Featured Artists from the Oil Painters of America
September 15, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
To kick off this season’s first 3rd Thursday Art Night Out, the nationally acclaimed and Chicago-based Oil Painters of America presents a wonderfully curated collection from several of its artists.
Susan Ploughe holds a BFA in Painting from Carnegie Mellon University. In the early days of her painting career, Susan was primarily a landscape artist and involved in the plein air painting scene. Along the way, she discovered a love for portraiture and gained national recognition for that work. For Susan, one of the best parts of being an artist has been her travels to paint both inspiring locations and fascinating people. Susan’s artwork has appeared in articles in Fine Art Connoisseur, American Art Collector, International Artist, Southwest Art, and Plein Air magazines. Her paintings are in private and corporate collections, and she paints portraits on commission. You can see Susan’s artwork at www.susanploughe.com.
Russell Wells will present works in contemporary fine art oil painting. Wells has been recognized nationwide for fine art and is a member of the Palette & Chisel Academy, National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society (NOAPS), Oil Painters of America, American Impressionist Society (AIS), and Portrait Society of America. You can see J. Russell Wells work at www.jrussellwells.com.
