A Conversation with Cynthia Rowley at Barrington’s White House
June 2, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Cynthia Rowley will host an hour-long “Conversation with Cynthia Rowley” at Barrington’s White House. Cynthia has appeared on America’s Next Top Model, Project Runway, David Letterman, The View, and Oprah, among others. Since launching her first collection in the early 1980’s, Cynthia has established herself as an award-winning designer expanding her brand to include apparel, shoes, handbags, eyewear, fitness gear, and most recently a surfer line. No matter what your age, come and be inspired by Cynthia’s story.
Few career paths carry as much weight as Rowley’s and, to top it all off, she is constantly switching hats between being a top designer, wife, mother, blogger and world traveler. Not to mention, founding an on-line art exhibit site, Exhibition A, with her husband and gallery-owner Bill Powers. Balancing it all is no easy task, but Rowley, who’s motto is “Say yes to everything” seems to always be on the cusp of something great.
Cynthia Rowley is a graduate of Barrington High School and the School of Art Institute of Chicago. At the Art Institute, she pushed the boundaries of fashion and used her experience (and just $3,000 in seed money) to venture off to New York City to build her global lifestyle brand, consisting of ready-to-wear, swim/surf, fitness, accessories, home decor, and a new men’s collection. A favorite among celebrities and high-profile influencers alike, Rowley has signature shops in New York, Charleston, Malibu, Montauk, Miami, Palm Beach, Atlanta, Aspen, Chicago, and now for a limited time at her Pop-Up Shop at Barrington’s White House.
