On this special summer evening, perennial Barrington’s White House favorites William Powers, bass-baritone, and Michelle Areyzaga, soprano, blend their consummate vocal talents to bring to life your favorite Broadway show tunes. The evening will feature selections from singing favorite selections from such memorable composers as Richard Rogers, John Kandor, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Lerner and Lowe and more — come hear some of your best loved songs from the Golden Age of Broadway and MGM!

William Powers is a native of Chicago who was taught and mentored by George London and Norman Treigle and made his New York City Opera debut in 1972. He has created many new roles in first performances and revivals, many of them rogues and villains.

Michelle Areyzaga has been praised for her “radiant and all-encompassing soprano” (Chicago Tribune) and as a “consummate vocal actress” (Fanfare). She is held in high regard throughout the United States and abroad for her “appealing, expressive soprano” (New York Times).
