Alfred Hitchcock is one of the most revered names in cinema history. Join film critics Dann Gire and Raymond Benson as they explore and discuss the classic films of Alfred Hitchcock. This dynamic, Chicago-based duo are the founders of Dann & Raymond’s Movie Club, a cinema history program where the pair presents talks on various cinematic topics through film clips, lively discussions, jokes, trivia, and audience participation. Dann Gire is the film critic of Chicago’s Daily Herald, founding director and president of the Chicago Film Critics Association, and film courses instructor at Loyola University. Raymond Benson is a novelist, author of more than books (including 9 James Bond novels and novelizations), film historian, Cinema Retro magazine contributor, and former film history instructor at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. The pair will discuss the Master of Suspense’s greatest works, including “The 39 Steps,” “The Lady Vanishes,” “Rebecca,” “Notorious,” “Rear Window,” “Psycho,” and more!
