An Author Talk and Book Signing with Acclaimed Crime Fiction Novelist, Libby Fischer Hellmann
Join us for an exciting author talk and book signing with award-winning crime fiction novelist Libby Fischer Hellmann, presented in partnership with the Barrington Writers Workshop.
Hellmann is the author of seventeen novels and more than twenty-five short stories known for their suspenseful plots and rich historical detail. Her popular Ellie Foreman and Georgia Davis series are set in and around Chicago, and her stand-alone works — including Max’s War, Set the Night on Fire, A Bitter Veil, and Havana Lost — explore historical themes through strong, complex characters.
Before turning to fiction, Hellmann built a career in broadcast news with NBC and PBS, later founding her own Chicago-based media company. Her background brings a compelling depth and realism to her storytelling.
This engaging conversation will offer a look into her writing process, her experience working across genres, and her perspective on publishing today. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and interact with Libby throughout the event. Independent bookstore, Read Between the Lynes from Woodstock, IL will have books available for purchase and signing following the talk.
