Dr. Patrick Griffin: The American Revolution in a Series of Paintings

Join award-winning historian and author Dr. Patrick Griffin for a compelling exploration of the era through several important works of art. A former visiting professor at Oxford University and current Madden-Hennebry Family Professor of History at the University of Notre Dame, Griffin probes the difficult questions that challenge our national identity. This presentation offers stunning insights into how early Americans reimagined sovereignty and rights, looking beyond myths to the interconnected Atlantic world that shaped our nation. Presented in partnership with Barrington Cultural Commission and the Barrington Writers Workshop.
