Celebrate the 50th birthday of Grammy-nominated jazz pianist Orrin Evans with a solo piano concert at Barrington’s White House. Renowned as one of the most creative and dynamic pianists in contemporary jazz, Evans has earned acclaim over his 25+ year career for his bold artistry and genre-defying performances. A two-time Grammy nominee, Evans has released more than 25 albums as a leader, showcasing his exceptional ability to blend traditional jazz roots with modern innovation.
From his early days in Philadelphia to gracing stages at Carnegie Hall and international jazz festivals, Evans continues to redefine what it means to be a jazz artist. His work includes leading the Captain Black Big Band and serving as the first African American leader of the legendary trio, The Bad Plus. Known for his fearless approach to music, Evans consistently pushes boundaries and delivers performances that leave audiences inspired.
This intimate evening brings the vibrancy of Evans’ urban jazz roots to the suburbs. After the concert, join us for cake and champagne to toast this jazz legend on a milestone birthday.
