Barrington area residents are invited to drop in on Tuesdays from 12:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. to play the ancient Chinese game of Mahjong at Barrington’s White House

Mahjong uses colorful tile pieces that display unique Chinese characters and symbols that stimulates memory while teaching strategy. Some studies are showing that the age-old game may help people suffering from mild dementia.

The Barrington Area Council on Aging is hosting the program. Coffee and refreshments are provided and a $1 donation is suggested.
