Join Barrington’s White House for a Mid-Century Modern musical extravaganza! Stunning musicians William Powers (bass-baritone soloist), Michelle Areyzaga (soprano soloist), and Lyric Opera’s William Billingham (piano) join forces to bring you an evening of some of your favorite songs from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) studios and others. Enjoy renditions of cinematic classics from Oklahoma!, Kiss Me Kate, My Fair Lady, and many more!
William Powers is a Metropolitan Opera baritone and star of numerous operatic roles, including performances in The Great Gatsby, Paradise Lost, and Wuthering Heights. Michelle Areyzaga, a highly regarded vocalist, is described by Howard Reich of the Chicago Tribune as “blessed with a radiant and all-encompassing soprano.” William Billingham, pianist, is the assistant conductor at Lyric Opera Chicago.
