Aging Thoughtfully: Conversations About Retirement, Romance, Wrinkles & Regret by Martha Nussbaum and Saul Levmore of the University of Chicago

Barrington’s White House hosts some of the most renowned artists and speakers in the world and on Sunday, February 25 we welcome University of Chicago Professors Martha Nussbaum and Saul Levmore. The event takes place from 3:00pm-5:00pm. General admission is $20, student admission is $10, and VIP admission, which includes a private reception with light refreshments, is $30.

Martha Nussbaum, the renowned philosopher and ethicist at the University of Chicago, and Saul Levmore, the former dean and a current professor at the university’s law school, discuss topics such as retirement, cosmetic procedures, philanthropy, and refashioning social security.

The two friends will sign their new book, Aging Thoughtfully, after the discussion. As noted in a New York Times book review by Dwight Garner, the book is “framed as a conversation and, although these two are friends, it grows heated. You begin to sense that while one is talking, the other is chalking his or her pool cue.”
