Getting married in the time of COVID was an adventure! From the moment we toured The White House, we knew this was the place we wanted to get married. Our 100 person wedding was perfect for the elegant ballroom and having the downstairs and front porch of the mansion accessible to our guests gave us the room to breathe and the intimacy we craved for our event.

“Flexible and Reliable Staff”

During the many changes prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the White House was supportive and flexible, and they provided us with the latest information about public health guidelines. Despite all the changes in the few months before the wedding, we were able to have a meaningful celebration that matched our original vision for the wedding.

Hosting our wedding ceremony and reception at Barrington's White House allowed us to celebrate with our family and friends with the intimacy and beauty of a private venue while also having the support of the White House staff.

The White House was the perfect setting for my bridal shower – we loved the vintage house feel with all the beautiful woodwork and staircase. It has spacious rooms but it is intimate at the same time.

Barrington’s White House is such a beautiful, nontraditional venue. I love the idea of having multiple, interesting spaces for guest to enjoy. I was looking for something different from your usual hotel ballroom and this was perfect! My bridesmaids and I had our hair and makeup done in the beautiful bridal suite, and it was so fun getting to spend time there together before the ceremony began. So many great spots with natural light for photography.”

The White House is perfect if you are looking for an intimate and unique venue. It allows you to put your own touches on your event, and the staff is very helpful and responsive during the planning process. We were extremely happy with our reception and would highly recommend!

What a unique & stunning venue....The elegant décor is warm & friendly, not “stuffy” like many other historic venues. I highly recommend using the lovely bridal suite to get ready...it was so worth it to have this beautiful, private space to relax, dress & have our hair & makeup done!

This historic mansion was the “absolutely perfect” backdrop to our memorable day. I especially loved the second-floor bridal suite – it was a lovely place for us to have our hair and makeup done, get dressed, and sip champagne! Guests asked me who we used as a wedding planner, and I said ‘no one’ – the White House staff and vendors helped do the planning with us!
