WFMT (FM 98.7) will broadcast the Rachel Barton Pine concert, which was recorded at Barrington’s White House. Tune in on Friday, May 27, 12:00 noon, for the “Music in Chicago” series.

The next musical event at Barrington’s White House will feature soprano Joanne McDade and violinist Kate Carter.  Ms. McDade, a Barrington resident, will perform the song cycle La Canzone dei Ricordi (The Song of Remembrance) by the Italian composer Giuseppe Martucci, a deeply emotional and colorfully dramatic work for voice and performance. Ms. McDade will be joined by pianist Ken Smith.

Violinist Kate Carter and pianist Louise Chan, will perform one of the Ernest Bloch’s best-known works Baal Shem: Three Pictures of Hassidic Life. The work traverses a wide range of moods, from passionate and fiery, to hauntingly introspective, to joyful and celebratory.

Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for students.  Tickets are available here.
